School should not be longer because we won't have time to do our homework. If teachers want to give us homework, then why would we have a longer school day because if we have a longer school day, then we would have less time to do the homework the teachers gave us. That isn't fair to the kids in higher grades who get a lot of homework then, if they don't have it all done, their parents will be frustrated especially if they need help with their homework. Another reason school shouldn't be longer is because we won't have time for fun with our friends and to go outside. We do have the weekend to have fun with our friends but some kids think that isn't enough. Sometimes friends help you with homework and sometimes you don't do anything but homework together. That would be enough friend time for some kids. Parents are always telling us to quit watching T.V. and go outside. If the school hours stay the same then we can go outside and have fun even if it is snow.
